Extreme Clutter & Hoarding Behavior

Chronic Disorganization and Hoarding Behavior

Extreme clutter can lead to tremendous challenges for the individual and their loved ones. Clutter can leave one feeling disorganized, anxious and stressed. Needing to look for things steals time from one’s day, can be debilitating, and creates feelings of uncertainty for the individual and for those depending on them, either personally or professionally. Rooms rendered unusable can leave one reluctant to invite friends and family in, creating feelings of shame often resulting in loneliness and isolation.

Lastly, homes with excessive items can invite health and safety issues. It can hinder or prevent simple tasks like washing dishes or cooking. Limiting one’s ability to clean or do necessary repairs, homes can become unsafe and even dangerous living environments for the person living in them and possibly for neighbors as well.

In my work, I strive to identify and address the issues of safety in the home, create new habits to keep clutter at bay, and bring freedom and ease to activities of one’s daily life.
